This past weekend new member John Halkias got the chance to go on a Habitat for Humanity trip. He built housing in the small town of Manastique, Michigan. He was able to help people who needed home repairs that they were not able to perform themselves. His helpful nature is what we are looking for in our new members and we are all very proud of John.

Gamma Zeta would like to give our first Senior spotlight to Andre Kohn '19. Andre is known as a very involved member of the house, and his guidance is very appreciated by everyone here. Andre was an actuarial intern at PwC last summer, where he worked with health and wellness pensions. Since completing his internship there he has accepted their full time offer. Andre is a brother for all Gamma Zetas to look up to and we wish him the best after his graduation.

New member Dominic Carmignani transferred to UIUC as a Junior from Harper college this fall. While at Harper college he was a member of the schools baseball team. Dominic believes that his baseball experience instilled many values that Gamma Zeta finds very valuable in its new members. For example, Dominic said that the team was always expected to hold each other accountable for their personal responsibilities and grades, and he thinks that this really prepared him for being a very supportive member of the fraternity. Dominic was a leader on his team, and he believes that he can carry over his skills to be a leader at UIUC and beyond. Everyone here at Gamma Zeta is very happy to have Dom on board.

Everyone at Gamma Zeta greatly appreciates everything that Dan has done for the house and wishes him the best after college.

Today Jack Klues and his partners gave a presentation on their new networking/relationship management application called Mentridge. Jack and his team have been working on this app for some time now, and after giving us a detailed look, all of the Gamma Zetas are very excited to get their hands on it. Jack is giving us the privilege of being some of the first students in the country to be able to test the app hands-on. The app will have many features that will assist users in breaking into the professional world. The app is set for official release in 2019.
