On August 14 and 15, the brothers of Kappa Eta and other Greek organizations at FIT helped incoming freshman move into their dorms. This annual event was well received by students and parents alike, grateful to have help moving in.

On August 19, the brothers of Kappa Eta and potential new members joined together to pick up trash across campus. This gave potential new members an idea of how service plays an important role in ATO.

Once again, GladiATOr Dodgeball was a hit, bringing out around 15 to 20 potential new members. The game is like conventional dodgeball, just with shields and cardboard boxes to use as cover. Everyone had a good time playing the game and talking with brothers.

On Saturday the 30th, brothers Andrew Shillingsford (not pictured), Connor Bol, Matthew Bomberger, and new member Triston Friendshuh made oyster mats to help oyster growth in the Indian River Lagoon. This was an event coordinated by alumni Ryan Christiansen at Florida Tech's Indian River Lagoon Research Institute to give back to the environment.

On Saturday the 30th, Kappa Eta participated in Phi Sigma Sigma's signature philanthropy event Phi Sig Blitz. The event was a football tournament to support children in the community.

Brothers and pledges of the Kappa Eta chapter donated cases of water and helped Florida Tech alumni load a private jet provided by Tyler Perry with supplies bound for Puerto Rico to help with relief efforts

To help with relief efforts for Hurricane Maria, the brothers of Kappa Eta put on a video game tournament with games such as Mario Kart. All proceeds were donated to the Miami Foundation to support Puerto Rico.

On Saturday October 7, brothers and new members of Kappa Eta volunteered for Daily Bread by setting up tables and placing cutlery for one of their fundraisers. The organization uses the money raised to provide meals to poor folks in the community.

Last week, brother Pittorie couldn't leave his apartment due to his recent surgery on his tonsils. Since we leave no brother behind, Kappa Eta's Executive board decided to hold it's meeting at brother Pittorie's apartment instead of having it without him.

On Sunday, October 22, brothers and new members of Kappa Eta participated in Delta Tau Delta's Soap Hockey philanthropy event. The proceeds go towards JDRF to help stop type 1 diabetes.

On Sunday, October 22, brothers and new members of Kappa Eta participated in Gamma Phi Beta's signature volleyball tournament. The proceeds of this event go towards charity.

New members gathered in the Kappa ETA Chapter house to learn about having vision as a leader, and how it is an important leadership characteristic. With initiation and elections coming close, these principles will help the new members transition into active brothers in the Chapter.
